CLMS Sunday 2006

The Board of Directors of Lutheran Church–Canada has declared Sunday, May 28 to be “Concordia Lutheran Mission Society Sunday.” We are grateful to the Board for this gesture, and appreciate the opportunity to let our entire Synod learn more about the work of CLMS and how it serve the spread of God’s kingdom. Of course, if May 28 is not a suitable date, choose any other Sunday. None of the materials are dated.

We are providing several items for your possible use.

1. A poster (“Beautiful Feet”), and a brochure were distributed to delegates of the Alberta-British Columbia and Central District conventions and East District delegates will be receiving copies when they meet in convention.
2. A bulletin insert in PDF format, that includes some “FAQ’s” about the Society. You may run this off on a photocopier in the quantities you need. It might be necessary to trim the page to ensure that the two portions are centered, back to back.
3. A children’s message, prepared by Jodie Haberstock of Vernon, BC., one of our directors.
4. A prayer for missions which you may wish to use.

You will notice that there is no request for financial support, nor is an envelope provided. Our purpose is to make people more aware of the Society, and, at the most, encourage them to add their name to our mailing list.

Thank you for your participation. May God grant us all “mission eyes” so that we might better “missionize” the world.
