Summary of 2008 CLMS BOD and AG Meetings

The board of directors of Concordia Lutheran Mission Society, at the Annual General Meeting held on February 3rd, at Hope Lutheran Church and School in Port Coquitlam, B.C., reported that by the grace of God and the generous support of its mission partners all 2007 adopted mission projects, totalling $98,100 had been fully funded. In view of the continued increase in support the Board of Directors adopted a mission goal of $116,050 for 2008 in support of mission projects in Ukraine, Nicaragua, Southeast Asia and Canada.

The Rev. Colin Liske, the featured mission speaker at the Annual General Meeting, reported on his participation in the theological education program of pastors and deaconesses in Southeast Asia sponsored by Lutheran Church Canada.

In other action, the Board appointed the Rev. Dr. Edwin Lehman as Advisor to the Board, welcomed the Rev. Albert Schmidt as the newest member and recognized the services of Mr. David Schick, long time member of the board whose most recent two term made him ineligible for reelection this year.

The board elected Mr. Terry Goerz, President; the Rev. Irvin Pudrycki, Vice President; Miss Lauren Bugbee, Secretary; Mr. William Andrew, Treasurer.
