People we’ve helped

Our mission is to lend a helping hand to share the true light that brightens faces. “In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven” (Matthew 5:16).

Many helping hands shine His light:

• Hard working hands of our missionaries here in Canada and around the world.

• Praying hands of everyone asking for protection and supporting our missions.

• Grateful hands of volunteers giving their time and talents to CLMS.

•Out-stretched hands contributing financially to CLMS to carefully spend with grateful partners.

Read the words of one young Ukrainian woman whose face was brightened by the helping hands God sent her way through Concordia Lutheran Mission Society’s support of vacation Bible schools (VBS) in Ukraine.

I came to the Lutheran church in Nikolaev with my parents at the age of seven. I remember my first summer camp which takes place in our church. All of us were impressed by songs, games and studies we had that summer. We saw and felt love and attention of our teachers. Those people helped us and led us on the way of life with God; they showed me a wonderful example of Christian character. After the camp had done we waited for next summer with impatience.

I never thought that I will be able to participate in the VBS program as a teacher. I could not even imagine that I will travel with the team and accomplish this wonderful ministry to the kids in our churches.

I am 20 years old now and it is my fourth summer in the VBS team. This year I had choice to enter job or to go to serv the Lord with VBS mission. I couldn’t say “no” to the Lord’s calling; I have realized that it might be my last summer with VBS mission, so I have decided to follow my heart and present my summer time to the Lord and His kids.

For God’s glory,
