Following the completion of her training in 2025, Deaconess Priscilla was commissioned to the mission congregation in Cartago.  She assists Rev. Retano in delivering catechism teaching to women and children and providing mercy work, not only within the congregation but to the broader community.  This project will provide Deaconess Priscilla with a modest wage, enabling her to focus on works of mercy, Christian education, and spiritual care in the parish.

Church Worker Assistance -Nicaragua

Pastor's gathered together for a group shot in Nicauragua

Pastors, Deaconesses and Lay Workers in Nicaragua continue to experience significant financial challenges as congregations lack enough secure resources to support their workers adequately for stipends or transportation assistance.  Many church workers travel long distances to reach their congregations and conduct home visits, many of which are in remote rural areas.  This project will provide for essential ministry expenses such as travel, fuel, and modest stipends to help sustain their ministry.

I want to support church worker assistance in Nicaragua.

Lay Worker Support for Theological Training & Children’s Ministry in Myanmar

  • Christmas ministry to orphans in Myanmar
  • A large gathering of Myanmar people sitting as they listen to the preaching of the Gospel
  • Myanmar families, children, and people gathered for a Church service
  • A group of Myanmar kids recreating the nativity scene
  • Myanmar children's Gospel skit with puppets photographed from the audience's perspective
  • Photo of the gospel being preached as a skit with puppets to a huge group of Myanmar children and families from behind the puppet curtain
  • Generator purchased for Myanmar Mission

Again this year we will assist layworkers in Myanmar to
attend Theological Training in Thailand and to assist them in
bringing the Good News of Jesus to children and families.
The civil war continues in Myanmar bringing fear, loss, and
trauma to families. In 2025 an earthquake also brought its
own form of destruction, leaving many homeless.

Myanmar is a struggling nation, experiencing brutal crimes
and repression throughout the country. Only 6% of the
population is Christian, with 88% Buddhist. Christians are
persecuted and some have been imprisoned for their faith,
so holding Gospel events is a dangerous undertaking. Yet
there is great need to bring God’s Word to these people.

Lay worker Thomas Thwin has sent his sincere thanks for
the 2025 help they received and for the 2026 project as well.
They will be holding three children’s Bible Camps in April,
expecting about 130 children for each. He wrote,
“Organizing Bible camps in these times of violence,
instability, and scarcity is extremely challenging, but stopping
is not an option for us. These children desperately need to
hear that God has not forgotten them. This is a critical
moment to bring God’s Word, comfort, and hope to these
children. Please stand with us in prayer and support as the
Lord leads.”

I want to support ministry in Myanmar.

Equipping the Churches, Cambodia

As Cambodia Lutheran Church’s ministry continues to grow and expand, many new churches, particularly in economically challenged areas, do not yet have pulpits, altars, and baptismal fonts. This project is to help CLC procure these essential tools and equipment for conducting the Divine Services in new congregations across the country.

I want to support divine service development in Cambodia.

Niran Temsakun, TCLC’s senior pastor in the north of Thailand, and his evangelism team will be leading this new mission development.
