Mission and Ministry to Kok Kloi, Thailand

Pastor Suchat Chujit

Pastor Suchat Chujit (left) prays before leading Bible study.

Pastor Chujit, his wife Aporn, and a few congregational leaders share the Gospel as best they can in south Thailand’s Phang-nga province. Pastor Chujit sells rubber and pineapples in his spare time to make extra money to survive but it’s not enough. Supporting this project will help Pastor Chujit and his family with the mission and ministry work in South Thailand.

Mission in Cambodia

Lutheran Church–Canada has been working in Cambodia encouraging Gospel outreach for several years. Support for this project goes toward the continuing mission and education ministries of the newly-formed Cambodian Lutheran Church. The church leaders and members need renewed strength through your prayers and your financial support as they work hard to continue the ministry to new and current Lutherans in Cambodia.

I want to support Lutheran outreach in Cambodia.

Project 1702 Goal: $12,000

Facility rentals in Cartago and San Jose

1504 CR rentals

Pastor Retana leads Bible study.

By God’s grace Lutheran Church–Canada’s mission in Costa Rica is expanding into the large city of Cartago and into the capital, San Jose. Several mission and social ministry services have started in Cartago such as Bible study for women, outreach to teenagers in challenging life situations, sewing, Bible study groups, international mission teams’ work and other activities.

A new outreach has now started in the capital San Jose with the vision of making it a Lutheran national/international connection since the capital is on the north-south road in Central America.

The church cannot afford to buy property in Costa Rica so rental facilities are needed in both cities.

I want to help support outreach in Cartago and San Jose.

(Project 1504) Goal: $12,000

Gospel proclamation inside and out in Nicaragua

Pastor Ruffino proclaims God's Word in Rivas, Nicaragua.

Pastor Ruffino proclaims God’s Word in Rivas, Nicaragua.

A pastor with a missionary’s heart is a blessing to a church. Pastor Ruffino in Nicaragua is now reaching out to four communities: Rivas, Jinotepe, La Pita and Diriamba. Two vicars from the seminary program assist him.

Earlier this year the people in La Pita gratefully received a large tarp that serves as the “roof over their head” when they worship and hold Bible study.

Meanwhile in Rivas the outreach rents a facility as do the congregations in Jinotepe and Diriamba. They receive support from Concordia Lutheran Mission Society to make sure the proclamation of the Gospel continues.

Nicaraguan church takes aim at Managua this year

Representatives from the Nicaraguan church and Lutheran Hour Ministries discuss strategy for Managua outreach.

Representatives from the Nicaraguan church and Lutheran Hour Ministries discuss strategy for Managua outreach.

Since the founding of Iglesia Luterana Sinodo de Nicaragua (ILSN) in 2008, the pastors and deaconesses have dreamed of the day their young church could establish itself in their nation’s capital, Managua. The dream is now becoming a reality.

In October 2014 the ILSN along with Lutheran Church–Canada and the local office of Lutheran Hour Ministries established a plan to begin planting Gospel seeds in Managua. The prayer is that the Holy Spirit will use this proclamation to call people to faith in Christ and gather them into a community of believers — a new congregation.

Concordia Lutheran Mission Society is privileged to supply some of the funds needed for this visionary endeavour. And we would be honoured if you would help too.
