This project povides a stipend to supplement Rev. Chujit’s income and covers some transportation costs, enabling him to offer the ministry of Word and Sacrament throughout this region.

I want to support Pastor Chujit in Thailand.

The Thailand Concordia Lutheran Church is continuing the training of three young men living in the south and unable to attend the seminary in Bangkok. Last year two courses were completed, and four courses will be offered in 2020. This project will cover the costs of transportation and accommodation of the instructors, and materials for the courses.

I want to support seminary training for pastoral candidates in South Thailand.

Mission and Ministry to Kokkloi, Thailand

Since 1989 Lutheran Church–Canada (LCC) has supported mission work in Thailand and most recently this has been through Pastor Suchart Chujit. Pastor Chujit works hard to make the most of what he has, and sells rubber to supplement the modest support that LCC provides. His health has been compromised by two accidents and he is working hard to train leaders despite slow support from Thailand Concordia Lutheran Church.

I want to support Pastor Chujit in Thailand.

Theological Training for New Church Workers, Thailand

Three young deacons are currently assisting the pastors of Thailand Concordia Lutheran Church (TCLC) and have requested formal seminary training to become pastors and further expand the ministry in the south of Thailand. TCLC is requesting LCC to assist them with quarterly short-term theological courses in the south for the next four years. LCC’s international missions executive will arrange an instructor for two of the four seminars and the other two courses will be taught by one of the pastors of TCLC.

I want to support seminary training for pastoral candidates in South Thailand.

Pastor Suchat Chujit

Pastor Chujit, his wife Aporn, and a few congregational leaders share the Gospel as best they can in south Thailand’s Phang-nga province. Pastor Chujit sells rubber and pineapples in his spare time to make extra money to survive but it’s not enough. Supporting this project will help Pastor Chujit and his family with the mission and ministry work in South Thailand.

Support a missionary in Thailand

1422How do you share the Gospel in a country where less than 2 percent of the population has any connection or knowledge of Christianity? That’s the challenge Missionary Suchat Chujit faces daily in his missionary work in the southern province of Thailand in the region of Takuapa and Phang-nga province. As Pastor Chujit provides ministry for his local congregations he continues reaching out to individuals and families in the area, building contacts for the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and starting home Bible studies and worship services.

This project helps provide the stipends, utilities, transportation, telephone and worship materials for the three congregations and other preaching stations under missionary Chujit’s care.

I want to help support the ongoing ministry and outreach of Pastor Chujit.

Anniversary of loss and hope in Thailand

Ten years ago on December 26 a deadly tsunami hit Thailand’s west coast killing thousands, destroying communities, washing away businesses and stealing livelihoods. The area hardest hit is also where two Lutheran pastors, Rev. Suchat Srikakarn and Rev. Suchat Chujit serve six congregations and preaching stations.

The tragedy of the 2004 tsunami provided them the opportunity to show God’s love in tangible ways that touched hundreds of lives. Men, women and children wanted to know more about this God who loves them and the hope they have in His Son, Jesus Christ. Church attendance increased, cultural Buddhists were baptised into Christ and began studying God’s Word, growing in their faith.

Pastor Chujit, a Lutheran Church-Canada missionary, and his wife receive support from Concordia Lutheran Missionary Society for their outreach and ministry in southern Thailand. In a country where less than 2 percent of the population is Christian, they have a difficult task. But with your financial and prayer support, they continue proclaiming the Gospel message.

On the tenth anniversary of the tsunami and sharing God’s message of hope, consider giving a single $10 gift or a monthly $10 gift to support this important ministry.
